The Casa das Amoreiras (Amoreiras House) is an exclusive, two-room, beach house with pool located on the iconic banana plantations of Calheta in Madeira Island, on the hills of the famous beach. Originally built in 1940, and recently transformed, it was inspired by the Madeira landscape and rich heritage of the Portuguese connection to the sea offering a genuine local experience and personalized service in a private and guest-only space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Abilio's house, which is pretty new, spacious and comfortably equipped.
The pool is a really nice place to relax, especially after a day of hiking. The roof terrace has a great view and is a nice place to watch the stars at night with a glass of whine.
Furthermore Abilio is a great host: He welcomed us at his house and took a lot of time to explaining us everything and was always available to answer our questions.
We had a great time and definitely recommend this place to stay!

My experience with Madeira surf life was all around a wonderful experience. Billy taugh the lessons with someone who you can tell loves the sport. I felt I was able to figure out both the board and the wave with his guidance. With over forty years surf experience you are in good hands with him. A perfect balance to the surfing classes were the yoga sessions. Ruben was a really good teacher and taught with a good balance of challenging the body and relaxation. And being able to do yoga out on the roof terrace made for a fantastic experience. The accommodation was superb. With its poolside garden and roof top terrace it was easy to soak up the quiet neighbourhood atmosphere. Billy was very informative pointing out local amenities etc. He was a very good host. I already want to start planning my next Madeira Surf Life experience and stay
